Financial Aid

California Code of Regulations, Title V, Section 58621 requires that Butte College establish, publish, and apply a policy providing that a student who is otherwise eligible for a California 大学承诺补助金 become ineligible if the student is placed on academic or progress probation, or any combination thereof for two consecutive 初级学期(秋季和春季). 在此基础上，条款应视为连续的 of the student’s enrollment so long as the break in the student’s enrollment does 不超过一个主要项. 丧失资格自第一时间生效 作出上述决定后的注册机会.

Students placed on academic or progress probation shall be notified, via Butte College student email, of their status no later than thirty days following the end of the term that resulted in the student being placed on academic or progress probation.

The following Academic Standards are applied to the California 大学承诺补助金 ONLY.

• 最低累积GPA为2.0
• 最低累积进度率为50%

Students will lose their California 大学承诺助学金资格 if their GPA and/or progress rate falls below the minimum for two consecutive semesters.

恢复加州大学承诺助学金

It is possible for students to have their California 大学承诺助学金资格 将来恢复原状. 恢复资格需要:

• 达到累积的学术标准
• Demonstrating significant academic improvement (significant academic improvement is defined as achieving no less than the minimum grade point average of 2.0 and progress 在确定资格的期限内达到50%的标准). 恢复将 be automatic and does not require the student to appeal for reinstatement.

Please note: A student who successfully appeals the loss of enrollment priority for the same term in which the student has been determined to lose the California 大学承诺补助金 并应恢复其在同一任期内的资格. 有 verified Foster Youth determination and students receiving special category fee waivers are not subject to the loss of the California 大学承诺补助金.

A student who has lost eligibility due to failure to make academic standards may file 上诉，称为上诉 加州大学承诺助学金申请.  上诉将被审查 only for documented “情有可原的情况下.” Appeals not meeting the definition of “情有可原的情况下” 不被接受. Submission of an appeal does NOT GUARANTEE the reinstatement of students’ California 大学承诺补助金 . Therefore, students should be prepared to pay for their enrollment fees pending the outcome of their appeal. If an appeal is approved, the student will receive the 加州大学 Promise Grant for the semester at the earliest rebill cycle following approval.
